Audi were never going to be left behind their competitors and themselves announced their e-Tron electric sports car concept. The specs on this car are quite amazing for an electric vehicle:
- Lithium-ion battery providing useable energy content of 42.4 kilowatt hours
- A range of approximately 248KM.
- Four motors - Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque
- 0 to 62.4mph - 4.8 seconds

What's most exciting about all this is that today Audi has confirmed that it is putting this car into production - Johan de Nysschen, Audi America President has said that he expects to see running examples in around 2 years time! All very exciting im sure you'll agree, it will certainly be interesting to see how close Audi will remain to it's original concept.
